New York pro lacrosse team negotiating move to Orlando

The New York Titans of the National Lacrosse League are having ongoing discussions with Orlando city officials about a lease agreement that would ensure the team would move to Central Florida.

If the Titans and the city reach a deal, the team would play its 2010 season at Amway Arena and its subsequent seasons at Amway Center.

"We're still in discussions with them, and things are progressing nicely," Allen Johnson, the city's venues director, said Wednesday. "Hopefully, in the next week or so there will be more to come."

Titans officials did not return phone messages left by the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday.
