Montclair, NJ (3/24/08) –Montclair State's Junior goalkeeper Thomas Bowers (Hamburg, NJ / Pope John XXIII) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week on Monday. Bowers became the second Red Hawk to be honored with the league's award.
Bowers recorded a 5.50 goals-against average and a .694 save percentage in two games last week as Montclair State extended its winning streak to five games. Bowers, allowed just three goals while stopping 10 shots in a 7-3 win over Babson. In an 11-8 victory over Plattsburgh State, he stopped 15 shots.
Bowers is currently the conference leader with a 6.30 GAA and a .654 save percentage.
