Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic 2008


BALTIMORE, March 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Under Armour, Inc. NYSE: UA Under Armour, Inc. and Corrigan Sports Enterprises announced today that the third annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place at Towson University's Unitas Stadium in Towson, MD on July 12. In lacrosse's most prestigious All-America event, the top 44 senior boys and girls players will compete in separate North vs. South All-Star Games. The Girls' Under Armour All-America Game will be played at 6 PM EST followed by the Boys' Under Armour All-America Game at 8 PM EST. The Boys' Under Armour All-America Game will be aired nationally live on ESPNU.


Taking the Underclassmen games to the next level, this year's expanded tournament places a spotlight on the next generation of high school's top lacrosse players. The two-day underclassmen tournament is comprised of standout juniors, sophomores and freshmen from Baltimore, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. The players will compete for their respective region for the chance to play in Saturday's championship games at Unitas Stadium. The Underclassmen Girls' Championship will be played at 2 PM EST and the Underclassmen Boys' Championship starts at 4 PM EST.

Past Under Armour All-Americans have gone on to achieve great success. Eight former Under Armour All-Americans participated in the 2007 NCAA Men's National Championship game, and 10 alums played in the Women's National Championship game.

In addition to the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic, Under Armour presents All-America games for baseball, basketball, football, and softball which annually showcase the nation's elite high school athletes.
Seniors for the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic game will be selected by Inside Lacrosse magazine and a committee of the most knowledgeable figures in high school lacrosse. Nominations for seniors for the 2008 Under Armour All-America team are being accepted now through April 15 via
www.underarmourlacrosse.com. The final rosters for the Under Armour All- America games will be announced in May.

Open tryouts for the Underclassmen games will be held for both boys and girls who in June 2008 will have completed their freshman, sophomore or junior season. Players must live within the geographic region for the team they are trying out for and be in good academic standing.

The Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic includes college coaches' clinics, scrimmages and interactive games for fans and families in attendance.
